Our Story

Hi there!

I’ve been caring for animals since childhood, when I was watching Bugs Bunny cartoons and the family dog had puppies in the house! Soon after came the first cat Felina, followed by a colorful crew of birds, rodents, a python, and more cats and pooches.

For decades I’ve worked and volunteered in animal shelters, providing adoption counseling, cat care, walking and positive reinforcement clicker training for shelter dogs. I learned to care for birds of prey and other wildlife at an Audubon sanctuary. I got my degree in art while raising  my first puppy, a Rhodesian Ridgeback who became such a good boy through gentle, positive training. Pets since have been my young and senior rescue cats and a magnificent, neglected Great Pyrenees I took under my wing to help get his mojo back. Currently I serve as a humble servant to a Manx tabby named Georgie.
